A wider footprint can help spread load on soft ground, but tyre choice and inflation pressure must suit the machine and working load.
Check tyre and rim compatibility as well as clearance around the machine. A wider tyre is not automatically a suitable replacement.
Consider road travel alongside field work. The tyre needs load and speed ratings that cover both duties.
Use the manufacturer's inflation tables for your actual load and speed. Ground conditions do not justify operating below the tyre's limits.
